Just to hold true on my promise - viola! A wolverine sketch that I busted out while watching (increasingly crappy) Glee, last night.

I can't decide if his right hand should be in front or behind his leg... Oh well.

The semester is done. Ahhh.... Well, with that, some of the more ornate art posting might slow down, but I'm still drawing (shooting for between 5 - 10 hours a day on break), so I'll still post.

Here is the lettered page from my "Omega of Alpha" story.

Here is the final for my drawing class. This is the Paramore show on May 10, 2010. Great show.

This isn't the final version, but it's 98% done.

And for the heck of it, here's the B&W version, so you can see what it was pre-color.

And with this post, this becomes the longest blog I've ever written (36 posts!).

Here is an Atom Eve piece I did yesterday, all in one day. Well, one afternoon/evening. Beginning to end took maybe 6 or 7 hours. Maybe less. What I like most is the color. What do you think?

Updated (adjusted the colors to fit the costume better (I was off some)):

Here is the final color version of the one page story I had to do for class. The dialogue/text isn't added just yet, but will soon.

Here is the Print version (colors corrected for printing):
Here is the RGB version (how I colored it):
They should match better, but I wasn't picking my colors from a CMYK palette, so a few didn't translate as well. Oh well, I like them all in all.

Page 4:
The Miracleman Family flying over London, their base (Olympus) in the far background.
This page killed me. Not only were the figures tricky to nail right, but I had to draw between 50 and 80 buildings in curvilinear perspective. Meaning, instead of sitting on a flat surface, I drew all the buildings like they were on the surface of a snow globe - rounded. Which is maddening. But, I think it works okay.

Done with MM, for now.

And the details keep rolling in. This is the destruction of London by his nemesis (and former sidekick), Kid Miracleman.
Trying to emulate the original artist killed me - his drawings were so detailed and textured.

This is MM busting into a laboratory where his wife is being held.
Much harder than the first.

And the big ones come rolling in...

Here is the first page of my Miracleman project. This has been the biggest and hardest project to date. The first page belies that fact - but, trust me, the other pages were a nightmare.

But a pleasant one.

This is the page colored in one color, three tones. Took me about an hour of playing around. Full color version will follow.

Been working on a few big projects - hence the delay. Now that most are done, I've got content to resume posting (it's funny how five or six big things are always due at the same time).

This is the inked version of a one page story we're doing in one of my classes. We'll be coloring it (a few different ways) then adding text. The completed thing will be the final project for this particular class.
The story is called "The Omega of Alpha" and tells the entire life story of a superhero "Alpha." More to follow as I complete it.
