Here are the next four pages I did from American Vampire (technically, they're pages that precede the pages I did). This script has been pretty fun to draw. It's really open and leaves a lot of interpretation up to the artist. Which is a nice thing.
Phillip went down to Georgia, he was looking for a job to steal. He wasn't feeling swell, corporate work was hell, and he was willing to make a deal. When he came upon a school who was dealing comics and making it hot. Then Phillip jumped on the nearest plane and said "SCAD, let me tell you what - now people are gonna laugh at the things I'm about to do - but I bet a pencil of gold against your soul that I can make it as an artist too."

These are the last set of pages I did as a sample. These I did just for fun cause I liked the script and wanted to try a few new production methods. I think they turned out pretty decent.
They're from an American Vampire script (cool comic).

Here is the B&W version of that cover. I've decided that instead of just reposting things I put up on Periodic Heroes or elsewhere, I'm going to post the B&W versions and other things that you won't see anywhere else.

I came to realization that a lot of my characters lack, well, character. Personality. Expression.
So I decided to study the master - Glenn Keane. He's the MAN at Disney. Designed and animated Ariel, Beast, Pochahontas, Tarzan, and Rapunzel, here. So I spent a week drawing his drawings. Loved it. Disney is amazing. Maybe I should look more into this... ha!

These were pretty small and quick, so I don't love all of them. But, that's how it goes when you're sketching. You're searching.
