And Page 4
Not going to lie, these were extremely challenging pages for a number of reasons, but I'm glad I did them (and really, they didn't take me much longer than any other pages I've done). All in all, I like more of them than I hate them.

Here are the actual pages (which I didn't look at until I had finished and scanned these pages so they couldn't influence me at all):

Now, these have the advantage of coloring and lettering (couldn't find just plain B&W versions, unfortunately).

What do you think? What did I do that works well, what did Bill (the artist) do better?

041

Okay, seems like I've been blog-hopping between this blog and me and the wife's blog. Since school's been out, I've been working on a lot of things and I *finally* finished one of them so I can post it.

Here is the first of four pages I did as a sample for Dark Horse comics. The pages are from an actual script for a comic called "Magnus: Robot Fighter." It's a retro 60s, futuristic story about a guy who wears a skirt and punches robots. Kinda goofy, but a fun challenge. The script was incredibly dense, but very descriptive. I'll post the actual pages (from the published comic) once I finish posting my pages and you can let me know what the real artist did better and what I did better.
